May 20, 2008 Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 o’clock P.M. Present,-Councillors Scatamacchia, Ryan, Macek, Daly O’Brien, Hall, McGonagle, Donahue and Quimby. Absent,-President Hart Records of the last meeting were approved Councillor Ryan was appointed to read the records
for the present week. Notice was received from Mayor Fiorentini of the
appointment of Elise Hoffman to the WATERFRONT INTERIM
PLANNING OVERLAY DISTRICT TASK FORCE. Said appointment
effective May 16, 2008. Notice was received from Mayor Fiorentini of the
appointment of Robert Masys to the BROWNFIELD’S STEERING
COMMITTEE. Said appointment effective May 16 2008. Notice was received from Mayor Fiorentini of the
appointment of William Faraci to the VACANT BUILDINGS& ABANDONED PROPERTY TASK FORCE. Said appointment effective
May 15 2008. Applications for Special License to sell alcoholic beverages were received from:

GRANTED Yeas 8, Absent 1 COMMUNICATIONS Communication was received from City Solicitor, William D
Cox Jr submitting response from RFP for lease of portion of
property at 1314 Main st, known as Clement Farm from Wilbur Comeau
Post 4, American Legion and also requests matter be referred
to Natural Resources & Public Buildings Committee. Communication was received from Councillor Scatamacchia
requesting to introduce Joseph Ferguson to discuss a fundraiser
for Robert Dinges. Document 14-B MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE CHAPTER An Ordinance Relating To Zoning Amend Zoning Code – Waterfront Interim Planning Overlay District, WIPOD On motion of Councillor Macek to accept the New Revised
Map dated May 20 2008 as presented by William Pillsbury,
to replace the original map, the yeas and nays were as
follows: and also On motion of Councillor Macek to amend as follows: in
Section E, in the first line after the word “standards”
insert the words “Criteria and/or guidelines” in place of
the words “and criteria” and in the second line of
Section E change the word “shall” to “may”, the yeas
and nays were as follows: Council Administrative Assistant Barbara Arthur introduced
Document 81 To Wit: ORDERED: Order to grant request of Tenney Family Association to
enter onto Old Bradford Burial Ground to place dedication
family headstone and that they shall indemnify and hold
harmless City of Haverhill for any damages incurred
in executing this project
