May 12, 2009 Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 o’clock P.M. Present,-President Hart, Councillors Scatamacchia, Ryan, Macek, Daly O’Brien, Hall, McGonagle, Donahue and Quimby. Councillor Daly O'Brien was appointed to read the records for the
present week.
PETITIONS Applications for Licenses:
Application was received for Hawker/Peddler license from Adam Sideri to sell hot dogs, soda, chips & Gatorade at Swasey Park; Monday thru Sunday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm; May 13th thru October 31, 2009 GRANTED Yeas 9, Nays 0 6-H Petition was received from Margot Lindau for Wingate Street Arts District announcing 6th annual “Friday Night Live”concert series, Starting June 19th and ending August 14th also requesting to close Wingate St from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm and also permission to place signage GRANTED Yeas 9, Nays 0 59 Abatement report was received from the Board of Assessors for month of April 2009. PLACED ON FILE 12-E Communication was received from Councillor Macek requesting to
discuss potential reuses of the Clement farmhouse. HEARING Document 47, Application was received from Attorney Waldron for applicant Water Street Retail LLC (Lot 1)and Haverhill Retail LLC (Lot 2) principals King Weinstein and Stephen Stapinski requesting to develop property on Water st Assessor’s Map 402, Block 90, Lot 6 and Map 207, Block 2, Lot 2; made under provisions of WIPOD Ordinance proposed one- Story building designed for retail commercial use. With Attorney James Waldron, Stephen Stapinski and Mike Daggert in favor. No one opposed.HEARING CLOSED 47 On motion of Councillor Hall that the City Council approve the special permit as presented, with the changes discussed, with the incorporation of the specific recommendations of Rob Moore's letter; and with the further commitment of the applicant to comply with the requirements of the other City departments in their letters as conditions of site plan approval.
