September 29, 2009 Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 o’clock P.M. Present,-President Hart, Councillors Scatamacchia, Ryan,
Macek, Daly O’Brien, Hall, McGonagle, Donahue and Quimby. Councillor Scatamacchia was appointed to read the records for the
present week. Notice was received from Mayor Fiorentini of the re-appointment of Vincent Kissel, 13 Hartswood Dr., to the Board of Appeals. CONFIRMED Yeas 9, Nays 0 1-Z PETITIONS Notice was received from the Department of Public Utilities of Hearing regarding approval of a net metering tariff and an interconnection tariff requested from National Grid (MA Electric Co)on October 14th. (see document for complete text) PLACED ON FILE Yeas 9, Nays 0 67-C On motion of Councillor Ryan to suspend the rules to discuss agenda deadline for Oct. 13 City Council meeting. MOTION PASSED Yeas 9, Nays 0 and Notice submitted for City Council deadline to be Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 11:00AM. PASSED Yeas 9, Nays 0 96-D On motion of Councillor Daly O'Brien to suspend the rules regarding Italian Festival. MOTION PASSED Yeas 9, Nays 0 and On motion of Councillor Daly O'Brien to approve the rain date for Sunday, Oct 4, 2009 and if needed, to another date in 2009. PASSED Yeas 9, Nays 0 100-B COMMUNICATIONS Communication was received from Water/Wastewater Superintendent Robert Ward requesting to update Council on the ongoing water supply study. Related communication was received from Councillor Donahue regarding water issues in Haverhill. PLACED ON FILE and REFERRED TO NATURAL RESOURCES and PUBLIC PROPERTY COMMITTEE On the question of referral the yeas and nays were as follows: Communication was received from Councillor Macek requesting a discussion regarding cell tower locations on City property.
