Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 o’clock P.M.

Present,-President Hart, Councillors Scatamacchia, Ryan, Young, Hall, LePage, Daly O’Brien, Amirian and Macek.

Records of the last meeting were approved.

Councillor Daly O'Brien was appointed to read the records for the present week.

Communication was received from Mayor Fiorentini requesting to address Council to provide an update and presentation on the new Railroad Square Parking Garage on Granite Street.

COMMUNICATIONS

Communication was received from Councillor Scatamacchia requesting to introduce a representative from the Victor Emmanuel Lodge, Order of Sons of Italy, to present a citation to Police Chief Alan DeNaro. PLACED ON FILE 5-S

Communication was received from Councillor Macek requesting to discuss traffic safety improvements for the Ayers Village area at the intersection of Rt. 97 Broadway and Crystal st. PLACED ON FILE and REFERRED TO TRAFFIC & SAFETY COMMITTEE Yeas 9, Nays 0 5-T

Communication was received from Councillor LePage requesting to discuss requests for street lights. PLACED ON FILE 5-U

HEARINGS

Hearing was held on Document 13, a petition from Stephen Defeo requesting the City accept Baypoint Lane as a public way with Stephen Defeo appearing in favor and no one in opposition, the hearing was closed. A favorable recommendation was received from the Planning Board and Planning Director.

On motion of Councillor Hall to suspend the rules to transfer $24,500 from the Wastewater department. Yeas 9, Nays 0

Councillor Macek presented the minutes of the Natural Resources &Public Property Committee meeting held March 18, 2010 regarding Document
88-D/09 and Document 96-BB/09. On motion of Councillor Daly O'Brien to adopt the recommendation of the Committee to ask the Mayor to appoint a Citizens Advisory Committee to Provide review and input on future water supply planning. PLACED ON FILE and LETTER TO MAYOR Yeas 9, Nays 0 40-B
