Statement:
The Haverhill Fire department is a public safety organization that strives
to protect all of the people who live and work in and visit our city through
fire prevention, public education, and emergency response. We provide
many services beyond firefighting, including building inspections, code
enforcement, building plan review, fire investigations, student and elder
fire education, fire extinguisher training for businesses, emergency medical
response, water and ice rescue, motor vehicle extrication, hazardous materials
response, and much more.
We provide these services to over 60,000 residents, workers, and visitors
spread over more than thirty-four (34) square miles. We respond to emergencies
twenty-four (24) hours a day, three hundred and sixty five (365) days a year.
We consider it an honor to serve the public and look forward to assisting
those in need.
