Coffee Shoppe: -- top of page -- Lunches at the Center: Meals are pre-ordered, so you need to sign up for meals by Thursday prior to when you want to eat- Maryjane will be glad to help you with this. The meal is always a full entree and menus are posted ahead of time in the Silver Star, Saturday Weekly Gazette, Monday Eagle Tribune and sometimes on cable TV. It's a super deal for a suggested donation of $2.00. Always remember that good conversation and friendships make meals that much better. -- top of page -- Meal on Wheels: -- top of page -- Food Stamps:
You do not have to be on welfare to apply for food stamps. You can get an application by calling the Food stamp Information Line 1-800-645-8333 or by visiting your nearest public welfare office, who will set up an appointment for an interview. If you are unable to come to the office, you may be allowed to have another adult apply for you or if you are 65 or older or disabled, a home visit or telephone interview if there is no one to go to the office for you. Food stamp workers are available at the counter on Thursdays from 11am to 1pm. -- top of page --
