Mayor Fiorentini Names Paul Prue Artist of the Month
Local Artists Work on Display at Mayor’s Office

Mayor James J. Fiorentini today named local artist Paul Prue as Haverhill’s Artist of the Month for August. Fiorentini presented Prue, a Haverhill High School graduate and Haverhill resident, with an official citation on Thursday, July 19, at his office in City Hall. Fiorentini said:

“We are honored to display Mr. Prue’s theatrical and artistic pieces at the Mayor’s Office. I encourage the public to stop by and enjoy his artwork.”

For over twenty years, Paul Prue studios have specialized in designing and fabricating new stained glass windows for churches, restaurants, and homes. Paul offers expert repair for aged and damaged windows and the fine art of traditional kiln-fired painting on glass. Paul is also involved in the performing arts and has recently written a satirical play based around the statues of Haverhill. You can see many of Paul’s works throughout the City of Haverhill in both restaurants and private residences.
The Haverhill Artist of Month was created by Mayor Fiorentini to foster Haverhill’s thriving art community. Haverhill artists interested in being considered for Artist of the Month can submit copies of their work and artist’s statement to the Mayor’s Office.
