On National Ride Your Bike to Work Day, Mayor Invites Haverhill Residents to Bike Instead of Drive!
Thirty minutes is all it takes. According to health officials, medical agencies and health organizations around the country, a 30 bike ride will significantly improve your health!
In an effort to draw attention to the health and environmental benefits of riding your bike to work, Mayor James J. Fiorentini is encouraging local businesses and all Haverhill residents who work in Haverhill to ride their bike to work this coming Wednesday May 16th. He has declared Wednesday May 16th National Ride Your Bike to Work Day. On Wednesday, the Mayor will ride his bike to work early to welcome all those who ride their bikes to work with fresh fruit, juice and coffee at the front lobby of City Hall. The Mayor looks forward to meeting with Haverhill citizens who ride their bike to work on Wednesday morning to commemorate the importance of this recognition week. Fiorentini said:
In addition to healthy refreshments, the Mayor has arranged for an information table where those interested can also learn about the, local health clubs and the medical and environmental benefits of riding your bike to work.
