Mayor Makes Great Strides Riding his Bike to Work!

This morning bright and early, those bustling off to work could find Mayor Fiorentini and Emmaus House supporter Jeff Russell bike to City Hall in honor of National Ride Your Bike to Work Day. The Mayor, who is known to ride his bike frequently to City Hall, encouraged all Haverhill citizens to take part in this event.

Jeff Russell, Haverhill resident and member of the Cycle for Shelter planning committee, accompanied Mayor Fiorentini from his home to City Hall. Jeff commented,

"I thoroughly enjoyed joining Mayor Fiorentini on his "Bike to Work Day" commute. I am proud that Haverhill's mayor is willing to leave his car at home and use alternative transportation. As an avid cyclist myself, I fully understand this passion for the sport!"

The Cycle for Shelter Event sponsored by Emmaus House shelter will hope to raise a great deal of money for the organization. Mayor Fiorentini commends those who participated this morning and looks forward to making this an annual event!
