 Mayor Fiorentini to Host First Event as Brownfields Mass/RI Chapter President

Mayor James J. Fiorentini will host a meeting of the National Brownfields Association Executive Committee on Tuesday, March 27, from 2 to 5 pm at the Cordovan at Haverhill Station. Tops on the meeting agenda, according to Fiorentini, is discussing Haverhill serve as host city for the annual Brownfields Association event that convenes representative from the entire country.

“As I said when I was elected as head of the chapter, this position gives me the opportunity to bring investors and developers to Massachusetts and the Merrimac Valley. Hosting the national Brownfield's event will give us the opportunity to highlight Haverhill.”

This will be the first meeting at which Mayor Fiorentini will preside since being named president of the Massachusetts and Rhode Island chapters of the National Brownfields Association in February. Fiorentini was nominated and recommended for the post by former chapter president, Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray, who held the post while he was Mayor of Worcester, Massachusetts.
