Mayor to Meet with Haverhill High School Dropouts

Mayor James J. Fiorentini today announced that he is holding a reception for all Haverhill High School dropouts on Thursday August 2nd, 2 pm at City Hall. The Mayor and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Raleigh Buchanan hope to meet with students who have dropped out of Haverhill High School to better understand their decision and to encourage them to continue in education throughout their lives.

The Mayor plans to offer students alternative options for progress such as resources towards obtaining a GED, steps towards productive careers through relevant job training or certification courses or the option to re-enroll in Haverhill High School in order to obtain a diploma.

“Education the top priority for the City of Haverhill. Keeping students on the path of life long earning is a goal that the entire City should be working towards.”
