Mayor Orders Comprehensive Review of City Hall Security

HAVERHILL- Mayor James J. Fiorentini today ordered a review of security features in and around Haverhill City Hall in the wake of last week’s tragic shooting at the City Hall in Kirkwood, Missouri.

“While there is nothing to suggest any threat, the tragic events in Missouri prompt me to review the security of City Hall for the benefit of our employees and the public at large,” noted Mayor Fiorentini.

The Mayor met with Police Chief Alan DeNaro and Buildings Supervisor Jeff Dill to review security procedures and technologies designed to communicate directly to the Police in an emergency.  Equipment testing is occurring and further steps will be taken as needed.
