August 27, 2008
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

MAYOR PLEDGES HELP TO REDUCE SCHOOL SPORTS FEES.

Mayor James J. Fiorentini met on Monday evening with a group of parents concerned about the high cost of sports fees in the City of Haverhill.

The Mayor pledged his assistance to raising either public or private money in order to reduce sports fees:

“Sports fees in this city are too high.  I pledge to do my part to reduce those sports fees.

“There is a fundraiser coming up in October.  I will be participating.  I’m also looking to see if there is some way to put additional public money into reducing sports fees.”
