Mayor Urges Donations for Warren Street Fire Victims and Families

HAVERHILL- In the wake of the tragic fire on Warren Street this past weekend, Mayor James J. Fiorentini urged residents to make personal donations to the many family members affected by the house fire, which claimed the lives of a Haverhill woman and her young nephew.

“I am calling upon the generosity of our citizens-- as has been previously demonstrated with other similar events-- to assist those affected by this horrific tragedy,” urged Mayor Fiorentini.  “Of the seven survivors of the fire, four were children.  This poor family will need the community's continued support in order to put their lives back together .”

Donations may be made to:
Portland Street Baptist Church
ATTN: Warren Street Fire
c/o Joe Woodbury, Pastor
 29 Portland Street
Haverhill, MA 01830
(978) 372-0920

"I'd like to thank the efforts made by the School Department, especially teachers and administrators at the Golden Hill and Bradford Elementary and Nettle Middle Schools, for their generous support of these families in a moment of crisis," added the Mayor.
