Mayor James J. Fiorentini > Press Release

For Immediate Release:

Mayor Fiorentini Names Elizabeth Persing as March Artist of the Month
Bradford muralist and decorative painter

Mayor James J. Fiorentini today named Elizabeth Persing as March Artist of the Month.   Ms. Persing is the  owner/proprietor of Elizabeth Persing, Murals and Decorative Painting.  She accepts public, private and corporate commissions and recently has been part of the Haverhill Mural Project.  Her mural “Soda Shop” is displayed at England’s MicroCreamery at 109 Washington St, Downtown Haverhill.   Ms. Persing is currently working with the Discovery Club at the Whittier and Consentino Middle Schools to create 2 murals that will be installed on the side of George’s Restaurant on Washington Street.  The images displayed in the Mayor’s office are photographs of her much larger pieces.

Her work can also be found on her website: www.elizabethpersing.com.

Mayor Fiorentini stated:

“I am pleased that Ms. Persing is showing her fine work in my office this month.  Her work is found in homes, businesses and even downtown streetscapes and now it can also be seen in City Hall.  In addition, her assistance at the Middle Schools is a wonderful gift for Haverhill and our budding artists.  I invite all Haverhill residents to stop into my office and see the fine art of Elizabeth Persing.”

The Haverhill Artist of Month was created by Mayor Fiorentini to foster and profile Haverhill’s thriving art community. Haverhill artists interested in being considered for Artist of the Month can submit copies of their work and artist’s statement to the Mayor’s Office.
