Mayor Fiorentini to Join Lions Club members from Palestrina, Italy

Mayor James J. Fiorentini will be joining members of the Lion’s Club of Somerville, MA to welcome members of the Italian city of Palestrina’s Lion’s Club. The Italian Lions are visiting the United States and have asked to see Mayor Fiorentini during their trip.

Mayor Fiorentini and his wife Martha visited the City of Palestrina, Italy, last summer. This is the city from which the Fiorentini family came to America. During that visit, the Mayor had the opportunity to make new friends, some of whom will be visiting America this weekend.

Mayor Fiorentini stated:

“I am thankful to the Somerville Lions for extending this opportunity to meet up with my Italian cousins for their visit to the states. The friendship between Italy and the United States is strengthened through the renewal of these important ties and I look forward to welcoming our visitors.”
