PRESS ADVISORY

Mayor James J. Fiorentini is pleased to announce that there will be a Groundbreaking Ceremony commencing the construction of the Merrimack River Boardwalk project on Monday, April 6 at 9:30AM in the public parking lot behind The Tap Restaurant, 100 Washington Street in Haverhill.

The Mayor issued a statement today:

"I am pleased that this long-awaited project is getting underway. This new boardwalk is another piece of the puzzle toorient the City of Haverhill to the water and to bring people downtown."

Immediately following this groundbreaking on Monday morning,at Margot's Gallery at 52 Wingate Street, the Mayor and State legislative delegation will join Massachusetts Cultural Council Executive Director Anita Walker for an award presentation for the Adams Arts Planning Grant.
