Mayor Presents Key to the City to Rock Legends Crosby and Nash

Mayor James J. Fiorentini today presented a key to the city to rock legends David Crosby and Graham Nash, who were in Haverhill for an impromptu concert at the River radio station.

Crosby and Nash have been rock stars since they began as Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young in 1968.  They are currently touring the country as Crosby, Stills and Nash, but came to Haverhill to promote a new acoustic album being released August 10, Crosby and Nash.

Fiorentini, who is promoting Haverhill as an ideal place to live, work and dine, had the opportunity to listen to an impromptu 30 minute concert at the station.  Fiorentini, who has been a fan since the 1970’s, brought with him a key to the city, which he presented in a quick ceremony to group founder David Crosby and guitarist and vocalist Graham Nash.

“This is the type of image we want to promote for our city” said Fiorentini, “and I am very happy to have rock and roll hall of famers Crosby and Nash here for a visit.” 

Fiorentini invited the group back for concert and invited them to take time to enjoy Haverhill’s downtown and to dine at Haverhill’s restaurants.
